When it comes to handling ITAD ewaste recycling services, it’s important to make sure you have standard procedures when it comes to managing waste. Electronic devices such as computers or printers are common and you’re probably more likely to know how to properly dispose of these devices. However, what about other forms of electronic waste? For example, do you know what to do when it comes to microwave disposal?

Luckily, safely and ethically disposing of microwaves is not very different from disposing of old computers. Microwaves fall into the category of e-waste and therefore, they cannot simply be thrown in the dumpster where they will end up in landfills. Microwaves need to be disposed of properly. If your microwave is simply old but still works perfectly fine, consider donating it to a charitable cause so that it can continue to be used. If it has reached the end of its life cycle, than the microwave should be dropped off at an e-waste recycling facility. It is best to ensure that the company does take microwaves as some recycling centers allow different items. When a microwave ends up at a recycling center, you can be assured that all materials that can be recycled will be recycled and know that you or your company is doing its part to help eliminate toxic waste from ending up in landfills.
